Muira Village Project Impact

The water collection point installed by Providence with its five taps has reduced waiting time from 3 hours to 30 minutes. School going children can now have an additional 2 1/2 hours per day for home homework, play, rest, and helping their parents with house chores. That’s over an extra month per child per year!

The construction of the clinic has ushered in an economic boost to the community. All workers at the site are hired from within the village and the residents of this village have a monthly income of less than $50.

With the recent completion of the water and sanitation project the chronic water born illnesses can now be brought under control!

The impact of the clinic on the Muira village community in terms of health care education and service is enormous. This is a never before seen development in the community.
